Alone, I sit here crying. The tears I shed are out of total fear and total frustration. I see very clearly, the incoming President and his Administration pulling off a feat that could only be thought of by sci-fi writers. What is going on, right before our eyes, is a takeover of our government and our country.
The structure of our future government will be in the hands of a group of billionaires who see the opportunity to take control. Donald Trump has run his businesses for years in a way that takes advantage of every possible legal and tax loophole. He also took advantage of any person who didn’t do what he wanted or who showed any disloyalty. He didn’t pay subcontractors, if he didn’t want to and, when things got really tough, he just filed for bankruptcy and stuck others with the losses.
My point is he knows how to play a new game and has hired, or nominated, a team of billionaires and retired military people who will ensure he can execute his devious plan. Yes, it is a devious plan. People laugh at Donald Trump and don’t think he is very smart. Well, think again. He may not do things the way we think they should be done, but he does it his way which has served him well for many years in business. It got him elected President and now he is translating this formula to running our government.
On top of having this unique formula, that is so out there that most of us can’t even comprehend what it is, he is a savant con man. A master at telling his audience whatever it takes to win them over. We know he doesn’t have to do what he says since he just changes his mind later on. The cumulative effect of this pattern hasn’t caught up to him yet. People don’t want to see all of the dots fitting together and they focus only on one event at a time; therefore, the real impact has not been felt.
I’ve written about this many times, but it’s worth reiterating. Here is what I wrote in an earlier essay which is my perspective on Donald Trump:
He created his own fantasy world, along with the rules and regulations that everyone has to play by, even if you are not in his world.
This new reality, created by him, is the Utopia so many disaffected and disheartened people want. He gives them what they want to hear, and tells them he will personally fix all of their fears and needs.
But, he never keeps his promises and does not have to be held to truths.
We need more business and thought leaders to fight this problem, not politicians. Donald Trump bought the Republican Party; he bought them with power. The Republicans are in power and hooked on Trump’s spell to getting more power, his “cocaine.”
What do we do? The answer to this question is elusive. We have a lot of smart people who are able to dissect and reconstruct what is going on; however, nobody has a solution.
We can wait until we have no voice and the only alternative becomes revolution and hopefully, if necessary, a peaceful one. But it will be much harder to undo the power base once it is built. I guarantee that people in opposition of the new government will be jailed for Treason, by the new definition of the “Right to free speech” being created by the new administration.
What we currently have in the First Amendment may soon be gone:
“Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
We must act now! Remember, the President-elect was elected by just over 25% of eligible voters. It is clear that most Americans did not and do not want Trump to be President. The 80/20 Principle (Perato’s Principle) is what allowed this to happen.
What does “Act” mean? It means that every local community creates a “Concerned Americans” chapter of what will become a national “Concerned Americans” organization. We will make our voices known through the news media and begin working on a plan of action. This will be managed with urgency like the Manhattan Project was during World War II.
This needs to be a grassroots effort, from the bottom up. Once it becomes a nationally recognized effort there will be such legitimacy that there is no doubt of the magnitude of the effort. Even if we only get fifty percent of the people who didn’t vote in the Presidential election to participate, we will have 100% more people in our effort than the supporters of Donald Trump.
Let’s get busy, I’m starting a group in my town.
