I can’t express in words how scared I am about this election if Donald J. Trump should somehow get elected President of the United States on November 8, 2016.
A Trump supporter might say something similar about their feelings about Hillary, especially if the Second Amendment and/or Pro-life are critical to them.
However, I plead with everyone to read this essay. This may not have any impact on your thinking one way or the other; however, I am passionate in my attempt to provide a perspective that I believe is important to keep in mind as we go to vote on November 8th.
Here is my perspective on “Donald J. Trump”:
He created his own fantasy world,
along with the rules and regulations,
that everyone has to play by,
even if you are not in his world.
This new reality, created by him, is
the Utopia so many disaffected and disheartened people want.
He gives them what they want to hear,
and tells them he personally will fix all of their fears and needs.
Many of his followers are lured in
Hook, line, and sinker…
They are psychologically hooked.
They begin to see his reality as their reality.
Promise to give everything to everybody;
of course people will sign up.
This man has three key components that make him so successful:
- He is a SUPER CON MAN!
- He is a great showman
- He has no humility. He can’t even relate to this emotion
If he is attacked, he fights back. Some people might think he does this because he is a little bit humbled. I disagree.
Since he doesn’t feel the emotion of humility, he lashes out because he is energized by this kind of fight. He has to be right 100% of the time and, when it seems like he is getting backed into a corner, he humiliates or threatens the other person and they back off.
Just like in the Martial Art of Aikido, he takes the external energy and leverages it as a counter force, more powerful than the first.
We have to remember that the rules are set by him, so he does not have to play the game: provide his tax returns, reserving the right to not accept the results of the election, provide accurate facts, apologize when caught in a lie, etc.
There is information available that shows most leaders in the Western world have some amount of humility. It may not be much, but they have some. In Trump’s case, HE HAS NONE.
In summary: My point is that he has all of the makings of a dictator. Please think about what our actual reality is and what we will have the day after the election. Taking a chance could result in too many dire consequences.
I ask potential Trump voters to reconsider their support for this dangerous man.
Even if you have very bad feelings about Hillary Clinton and can’t bring yourself to vote for her, vote for a third party candidate or write in a candidate. We cannot take the chance of electing a dictator as the next President of the United States.
The unknowns far exceed the knowns. The stakes are really too high to totally destabilize our government and continue to divide our citizens.
While we do need to make major changes in how we govern, this is not the time to “roll the dice.”
Please take a time out and think about it.
